About the Department

The Department of Mathematics offers Under graduate and Post graduate courses under CBCS pattern. The department has a steady growth right from the inception in 2004, strictly adhering the goals of the college. The department also offers M.Phil. (FT & PT) & Ph.D. and more than 50 Students have received the M.Phil. degree. In addition to teaching, the faculty members are actively engaged in research and development activities. The thrust areas of research include Graph Theory, Algebraic Coding Theory, Matrix theory, Bi-Topology, Fixed Point Theory and Statistics.

Uniqueness of the Department

• The Department of Mathematics is recognized for Research and teaching. It has 12 energetic and dedicated faculty members, among them 6 have completed Ph.D., 1 with CSIR NET and 1 with 1 with SET.
• It offers certificate course (Maths for competitive Examinations) to the final year students to face various competitive examinations.
• It offers an unique opportunity to Ph.D students for pursuing research in the ares such as Graph Theory, Algebraic Coding Theory, Matrix theory, Bi-Topology, Fixed Point Theory and Statistics.
• It organizes seminars, workshops, conferences related to the areas of research. Our students find good employment in the industry, Private banks, school and College sectors, as well as in the private sector.
• It teaches regular classes with mathematical models and train the students to make math exhibits who will be able to study and solve scientific and technological issues.
