The college has been instilling holistic education since 1996 and it has a rich legacy in nurturing and empowering the rural youth. The Institution is recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India, New Delhi. Apart from the Life Science Departments, the College has a separate research center – Sri Ranga Ramanuja Center for Advanced Research in Sciences (SRRCARS) encompassing exclusive instrument facility to carryout advance research in biological sciences. Life Science departments have completed 5 major and 21 minor projects funded by DBT, UGC & TNSCST etc., published 398 research articles, 28 book chapters, and filled 7 patents. With untiring efforts of the faculty of life sciences we will soon become a center of excellence in the field of biological sciences.
