Dr.S.Lakshmi, Librarian and Professor, Department of Library and Information Science
provided consultancy service on “Preservation of Library Documents- through natural
preservatives” on December 21st, 2021 to the Librarian and Library Staff in National
College, Trichy. She instructed about the methods to use the natural preservative
“Krimikathuga”. After the consultancy, “krimikathuga” is used in the National College
Library, Trichy to preserve the library resources
Dr.S.Lakshmi, Librarian and Professor, Department of Library and Information Science
provided consultancy service on “Introducing Standard Classification” in the month of July
2017 to the Library Incharge in Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Srirangam,
Trichy. She instructed about the methods to classify the library books by using Dewey
Decimal Classification. After consultancy the books were properly shelved as per Dewey
Decimal Classification system. This consultancy service is beneficial to the staff and
students of the school to access the library resources.
