  8. Installed three Sanskrit Softwares in the department system.
  9. Published 9 articles in International Journals & in the book "Aksharam" a book released in the national level seminar.
  10. Active participation in All India Radio, Trichy in the monthly Sanskrit Programme.
  11. Publication of rare Sanskrit manuscripts available in Grantha script
  12. Amrutavani the vibrant Sanskrit association organizes guest lectures/workshops/seminars for the students
  13. Publication of Amrutavani Patrika Quarterly magazine
  14. Sloka recitation competition conducted as an annual feature
  15. Linkage with the dept. of. Herbal technology to pursue research in Ayurveda.
  16. Publication of rare Sanskrit manuscripts available in Grantha script.

Guideship Recognition
  1. M.Phil guideship obtained by Dr. S. Nagarajan & Ms. Jayashree Mohanarangan in the year 2003 & Ms. Latha Sreedhar in the year 2010.
  2. Dr. S. Nagarajan has obtained for Ph.D., guideship from the Parent University in the year 2009.
  3. 5 students were guided by Ms. Jayashree Mohanarangan & Dr. S. Nagarajan for the award of M.Phil degree & five are being guided by all the three members of the faculty.

Awards
  1. A cash award of Rs. 1000/- is given to the outstanding M.A., Sanskrit student every year from the endowment amount of Rs.10,000/=, created for the purpose by Vidya Seva Ratnam (late) Sri. K. Santhanam, Secretary, National College Council.
  2. Smt. Ganga Chandramouli of Srirangam offers Rs.2000/- as cash assistance every year for the economically poor and academically bright Sanskrit students.
Association - Amruthavaanii

The Sanskrit Association was started in the year 1996, From 2002, Spoken Sanskrit class is organized every year for the students.

Besides special Lectures are arranged for the benefit of the Sanskrit students, especially PG Students of Sanskrt.

Cone State level seminar titled Facets of Mantras was organized in 2006.

Sanskrta Surabhi competitions for school and college Students was organized in 2005 and 2011.
