Our college is fourteen year old young institution. The alumni association was inaugurated on 1st February 2002.
Alumnae of all the departments attended the function. Dr.V.B.Athreaya, the then Registrar, Bharathidasan University, inaugurated the first alumni meet.
The office bearers were selected.
OBJECTIVES
- To keep in touch with former students.
- To keep in track, the progress of thier educational status and career.
- To help the former students by arranging campus interviews and providing information about prospective recruiters.
- To establish interpersonal contact among alumni themselves.
- To improve the status of the college through the feeback provided by the alumni.
MEETING HELD ON 17.01.2004
It was resolved that
- A corpus fund be raised to cater to the needs of the genuinely deserving candidates.
- The Alumni may institue awards & prizes and contribute books to the library.
- Those already employed shall get in touch withe Alumni Association to pass on information about vacanicies in their concerns for the alumni of the campus.
- The placement cell shall work in unison for creating employment opportunities for the passed out candidates.
- Self-employment programmes be suggested by the Alumni.
- The institution shall keep in regular touch with the alumni. In turn, the Alumni shall keep in touch with the alma matter.
Alumni meeting held on 20-12-2004
Our College management has instituted the book bank named Hayagreeva book bank. Text books to the tune of Rs 25,000/- has been donoted by our alumni to the book bank.

Rs.50,000/- has been donoted by our alumni to the Hayagreeva book bank.
Alumni meeting held on 10-12-2006
Rs.75,000/- has been donoted by our alumni to buy two water cooler to our College.

Rs.40,000/- has been donoted by our alumni to be given to poor and needy students as scholarship
Alumni meeting held on 02-03-2009
Rs.40,000/- has been donoted by our alumni to be given to 40 number of poor and needy students during the year 2009-2010 as financial assistance.

In the multifaceted process of ensuring quality education, the stakeholders of our college, the Management, the Teachers, the Students, the Alumni and the Parents owe a solid responsibility in maintaining educational standard of our college.
As it looks, it is highly impossible to meet you all in our campus on a particular day of the year, we felt rather to opt for interacting with you using internet facility.

Objectives of SAASC Alumni Association
- The basic essential function - maintain a member directory
- Help net-working amongst the alumni
- Setup guidance cell to aid present and past students
- Assist the placement cell
- Assist students in availing project facilities
- Institute a scholarship on merit cum need basis
- Utilize / Channelize the "goodwill" of the alumni to help students and the institution (intellectual and / or financial contributions / guidance etc...)
- Publish "Interface" the official news letter of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College Alumni Association.
We will be immensely happy to have you amidst us whenever you visit Trichy.
While planning to realize our vision, we wish to constantly interact with the varied groups of our well wishers and get back their feedback and suggestions.

We have proposed to build a State-of-the Art Library and also planned to enrich our library and to turn it into a digital one. It already has nearly 20,000 titles. We plan to add new titles and new editions of books with multiple copies to enhance the fund of knowledge in the latest scientific disciplines available to our students.
Every year our management extends support to nearly 700 meritorious,deserving and needy students of our college from the resources of Rs.20 Lakhs generated by the generous contributions of our well wishers and great philanthropists.
I am sure you will appreciate these efforts and will be eager to participate in this development process. I shall be grateful to you if you could contribute to the growth of the library either in terms of books or funds for books. Your contribution will go a long way in shaping the younger generation into a really knowledgeable society with curiosity to learn more. Grateful as we would be to you, your contributions will be formally acknowledged and recorded in a fitting manner.
