Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashram has a glorious past of three centuries, catering to the spiritual needs of the society, propagating Vaishnava Siddantha revived by the saint Sri Ramanuja and nourished by Sri Nigamantha Mahadesika.

The Acharyas who have adorned the Peetam of this ashram have been charismatic mentors, who by setting themselves as examples, rendered yeomen service, transcending the mundane limit of time and space. The Ashram has branches all over India and austere disciples both in India and abroad. Apart from the spiritual sphere, the ashram has established several charitable institutions to cater to the welfare of the poor and the needy.

The present Pontiff , His Holiness Srirangam Srimad Andavan Sri Rangaramanuja MahaDesikan is a learned scholar and teacher by profession before occupying the Peetam. His Holiness has a strong faith and belief that "Education" is an eye-opener to humanity and has a major role to play in shaping the society. His ardent desire, that higher education should reach the weaker section and the downtrodden, without any discrimination of caste, creed or sex ultimately paved the way for founding this temple of education.

This co-educational college was started on 26th Oct 1996 Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma, former President of India and is affiliated to the Bharathidasan University.

Managed by a group of eminent educationalists and industrialists the institution constantly attracts a beeline of students by its innovative programmes, teaching and learning stratergies.

The Management, principal and the staff strive with a missionary zeal in making every individual exemplary and informative in his / her chosen field of study.
